“Connecting Kids to Christ”
so they are able to live “All of Life for Christ”

It is our desire and mission for children of all ages to come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow as faithful disciples who glorify God in serving their world. At Kids Cove, we do that through exploration of God’s Word, example of Godly leaders, and experience of Worship and fellowship with others.

Our Sunday programs for kids are held at 9:00 AM, 10:45 AM, and 4:30 PM.

Nursery

Nursery Care is provided for infants up to the age of 23 months. The nursery is where our youngest children are loved, cared for and prayed over in a safe and fun atmosphere. A private nursing station is available inside the Nursery for mothers and babies to use. Once an infant is capable of walking around and is steady on their feet, he/she moves to the Walkers’ Room also located in the Nursery area.

Preschool Kids

In our program for Preschoolers (ages 2-3), our faithful volunteers care for your child in a safe and fun atmosphere. Using God’s Word, preschoolers learn that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Each preschool class includes Bible storytelling, singing, play time and fun activities. The curriculum, Bible lesson and activities are similar at both the 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM program, but the mix of these activities will match the age and development of the kids in the class.

Age 4 – Grade 4

Our program for age 4 – 4th grade is designed to help kids worship in an age-appropriate environment. Kids gather as a large group for worship with music that moves, memory verses that challenge and creative Bible teaching. After their time of worship kids will divide into small groups for exploratory learning and sharing with peers that will help them learn how to apply the lessons of faith to their lives!

Grades 5 – 6

Pier 56 is a place where 5th and 6th graders experience Bible teaching that’s relevant to their age and needs, and break up into small groups where they continue to build community. Our Pier 56 team strives to fully equip preteens Spiritually by going deeper into the Word and teaching them how to apply biblical truth to their lives so they can go and live it out. Monthly Pier 56 events are a great time for them to just have fun and continue to build community among their peers. Our hope is that this group will build solid friendships that will go with them into the Student Ministry.

Children with Special Needs

The Open Arms Ministry of CEFC seeks to include ALL children in ministry regardless of level of ability.  This includes children with all types of special needs…physical, emotional, and developmental.

If your child has special needs, we would be happy to provide a trained Open Arms Advocate, who will serve alongside of your child to ensure they are included in each opportunity for learning, fellowship and worship. We also provide a sensory room to meet your child’s individual needs, one on one teaching, a place for quiet time, snacks for special dietary needs, and special events throughout the year for children and parents.

To assist us in providing an Open Arms Advocate for your child, we ask parent’s to complete an information form that will help us get to know your child better. Click Here to complete an information form in advance for your child. You can bring your completed form to the Kids Cove Check-in Center on Sunday morning.

Your Child’s Safety

Safety and security are very important to us at CEFC. Young children (newborns – grade 4) will receive a computer generated name tag (and bag tag if in the nursery) that includes a security code printed on them. In addition, parents will receive a security tag which must be presented upon picking up their child.

The staff who serve in our Children’s Ministry are those who love the Lord, love the children and believe they not only provide a service, but a ministry to the little ones. Background checks are conducted on all volunteers serving in the Children’s Ministry. We encourage you to get to know those who are serving you and your family. It is as important for them to know you and feel comfortable that you are satisfied with their ministry as it is important for you to feel comfortable with them!
